InForm Court Form Update - Ontario Court

New Ontario Court Forms were released today for Inform Court Form Suite subscribers.

Ontario Court.
Infoware has contacted all clients who require the updates. This version, v6.99, includes the following changes that are effective immediately:

Added Forms:
  1. Form 3: Certificate of Readiness of Special Appointment.
Updated Forms:
  1. 77C: Moved jurisdiction table to top of form.
  2. 61A: Updated line spacing.
  3. When Court of Appeal is selected, force court heading to not be italicized and force DoubleSpace style to be double spaced.
Bug Fixes / Enhancements:
  1. Correct bookmark error when creating a standalone backer 4C and choosing third party option without using a profile.
  2. Corrected bug where party information was deleted on standalone backers when no profile was used.
  3. Corrected bug where the wrong backer was being created for Form 60A when doing a profile review.
  4. Standalone backers are updated to reflect plural and third party options entered on dialog, when no profile is used.
Note: For the next release of OntCourt we will be implementing a new autotext field called firm_region_Inform, which will contain region information that will automatically fill in region values on forms when they are created. Client global and city templates will be updated accordingly and shipped prior to this release.

iMoveMail Update Released.

A new release of Infoware's iMoveMail Email and Attachment Filing Program is now available.

An add-in for Outlook that helps power email users to manage the filing of client and project based emails, iMoveMail allows attorneys and staff to improve their ability to collaborate on files by centralizing client email correspondence in both directions.

When a message in the attorney's personal folder system is closed after reading or sending, iMoveMail will automatically pop-up and present a simple mechanism for filing the message in a shared filing system. [ DEMO ]

Apple enables XP on Mac

Apple has released software that lets users run Microsoft's operating system on its computers that use Intel chips. Called Boot Camp the program lets Mac owners run both Apple's OSX and Microsoft's Windows XP. [ Media Report ]

A beta version of the software is now available so users can install it. Future versions of Apple's OSX software will include the program.

Apple has no desire or plan to sell or support Windows, but many customers have expressed their interest to run Windows on Apple’s superior hardware now that we use Intel processors,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “We think Boot Camp makes the Mac even more appealing to Windows users considering making the switch.”

Microsoft buys ProClarity

Microsoft said Monday that it has agreed to acquire ProClarity Corp. as a way to continue to develop its portfolio of business intelligence (BI) software.

ProClarity, which has business analysis and visualization software for culling information from Microsoft SQL Server and exposing it to business users, is a privately held Microsoft partner in Boise, Idaho. The acquisition fits into Microsoft's goal to be a prominent player in the BI market against competitors such as Business Objects SA and Cognos Inc.
