Holiday Card Application | How it works

To personalize a mass mailing, the Holiday Card application combines existing Outlook Contact card information with two types of tags in the Outlook Categories field. The first category tag - the Common Holiday Tag - is a common reference that will identify the contact as someone who is to receive a holiday card. The second category tag indicates the individual or individuals who will be signing for that contact in the mass mailing. The result is that all contact mailing recipients will have Category field entries that include the general Mailing Tag and the initials of each member of the firm who will be signing their correspondence.

The Holiday Card application will extract the contact information of all contacts that are marked with the Common Holiday Tag to an Access database. The application will then generate reports and mailing labels, sorting the contacts into groups based on which individuals have included their initials in the Category field. These reports simplify the process of assembling the mailing materials for administrators as they will give an exact count of the number of contacts in the mailing and in each group. For professionals, the reports will make it easy to identify which mailing groups they need to sign. As a result of using this Infoware tool, your mass mailings will be quick to assemble and easy to customize.
