Case Management Software for Litigation Step-by-Step
InCourt assists in case management by tracking the interrelated due dates and bring forward dates of an Action and sending reminders to firm members working on the Action. InCourt works within Outlook to allow information entered by one person to be shared throughout the firm, with a team, or with individuals. Court Rule Models are created from the Rules of Civil Procedure to set predefined relationships between tasks and to set event triggers. As the status of tasks change, InCourt will execute activities as set by the event triggers in the model.
InCourt Rules Models can include internal and Court-dictated items. Each step in the Model or Project is created as a task - Relationships are set up between tasks based on the rules in the Model. This process takes into account how long each task should take, the order in which they must be completed and which tasks can be worked on concurrently. If a due date is changed or advanced, all future dates can be automatically recalculated based on the delay or advancement. These tasks are stored in an Exchange Public Folder and can be manipulated or filtered with Outlook views.
Action Notifications and reminders arrive in each person's mailbox in the form of an e-mail message. These reminders can be sent to members of the team and can also be sent to Internet e-mail addresses to include clients, expert witnesses, etc. These notices can be set to be sent individually as they occur or batched up over night and sent as a group.

Model case templates can be built to simulate any kind of case and these models are customized to suit the work styles of the law firm. Once a case is in progress, these models can be modified to add or remove steps and to change the projected due dates.
Using InCourt can help your firm avoid missing critical Court Dates or important steps in an Action or Application by incorporating an internal reporting system that extends due date notices to additional practitioners.
