The InForm Litigation court forms package is an add-in for your word processor created by . Currently available for Microsoft Word, InForm provides a fast, consistent and easy tool for creating standard court documents. InForm creates documents entirely in your word processor combining templates, boilerplate text and personal entries with macros that tailor the documents to your specifications. Documents are adapted for the selected court, number and types of parties involved and the party you act for. A Backer document can be generated when you create the court form and either saved as a separate document or appended to the end of the original document. Help from the Rules is included to assist in completion of the forms.
How it works
- You can select the appropriate form suite such as Ontario Court Forms (Civil Litigation) from a drop-down list. The list remembers the last used suite and it is offered as the default the next time.
- Most documents require further information before they can be created by InForm. The following dialogue must be completed for most documents.
- The "Case has Multiple" and "We act for" choices in the dialogue are interrelated. For example you do not have a choice of acting for multiple defendants until you click-on "Case has Multiple" Defendants. The distinction is made between one, some and all to provide both a means of pluralization and grammar settings and to set-up certain documents to prompt for specific names of parties when acting for less than all of them.
- After completing the dialogue, the template and standard boilerplate text for the selected document are retrieved and customized based on the information provided in the dialogue. At this point you have created a new Word document and can proceed to make any changes you wish. However we suggest that you use the fill-in sequence and proceed sequentially through the document filling in the required information.
