InControl takes Outlook information and integrates it with your firm's docketing system. Tasks, Appointments and Time Entries can be linked to Contacts or to Billable Matters. All the standard benefits of Outlook are maintained, providing excellent standalone and Workgroup email, scheduling and task management with the added ability to allocate the billable time associated with these items. InControl provides a Case Profile form to view and manage all information relating to a Matter. Time entries appear as Journal entries in Outlook. They can be grouped under Tasks for easier management. All Contacts associated with a matter are included, and all Calendar appointments show up as billable items. You can continue to use Contacts, Tasks and Appointments as always in your daily work. All the items assigned to a matter are summarized and can be changed from the Case Profile.
From this summary form all new information relating to this matter can be entered and monitored.
With Microsoft Exchange server as an optional component, all InControl information can be shared throughout your firm. For example, changes to phone numbers and addresses can be invisibly updated in all copies of a contact. Contact management can be centralized to reduce duplication, share information and build up to date mailing lists. At the same time, InControl gives users the ability to work entirely with a small list of personal or group contacts.
InControl provides reports on total docketed time before and after posting to an accounting system. Time can be reviewed on screen by the timekeeper or printed out, either by the Lawyer or an assistant. Dockets can be prepared on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, or on any other schedule that fits your needs. (Including no fixed schedule at all!)
