InCourt is a legal case management software solution that allows your firm to track critical interrelated due dates and bring forward dates. InCourt works within Outlook to allow information entered by one person to be shared throughout the firm, with a team, or with individuals. Reminders will be sent to team members alerting them of any upcoming due date before it's too late. InCourt | Legal Case Management OverviewFor legal case management, traditional Outlook tasks are not very useful since they have no concept of interrelationship or dependency. InCourt solves this problem by introducing logic that can group tasks: when one task is completed, the next task in the list is automatically created, and notices sent to all members of the team. If a due date is postponed, all future dates can be automatically recalculated based on that delay.
Our Legal Case Management software uses Pre-Configured Models to manage any kind of Action. These models can be customized to suit the work styles and reporting requirements of the law firm. Each Model is comprised of numerous tasks that include the Rules of the Court and internal procedures. Once an Action is in progress, tasks relating to that Action can be modified to add or remove steps and to change the projected due dates. The Legal Models used in the case management of an Action by InCourt reference interrelated tasks that set and control the creation of due dates. Within the InCourt model, relationships are set up between tasks based on how long each task should take, the order in which they must be completed and which tasks can be worked on concurrently. InCourt can also create tasks in response to completion of a previous task or the overdue state of other tasks. Due dates can automatically adjust (cascade) across related tasks when an earlier task in the process is changed. Tasks are contained in an Outlook Folder, and can be manipulated or filtered with views. InCourt Legal Case Management RemindersNotifications and reminders arrive in each person's mailbox in the form of an email message. Notifications can be sent when a task is started, completed, deferred, expired or overdue. Reminders ensure that all people involved in a case are forewarned before time runs out. Each reminder includes a hyperlink to the Action task allowing practitioners to be able to quickly review and update the Matter. Changes in the Status of an Action can be quickly communicated within a department or firm.
InCourt continues on the path of InControl to integrate Legal specific features into the standard features provided by Outlook and Exchange. InControl was launched in 1999 by Infoware and integrates Outlook with the information needs of the law firm. Features of InControl include; docketing, the ability to link tasks, contacts and appointments to billable matters, synchronizes contact lists and provides custom views to display all activity on a specific matter. InCourt integrates with InControl to allow billable time tracking from each task. |
