Infoware has released a new version of our popular Legal Extensions Document Automation Suite specifically designed for Small and Mid-Sized Legal Practices.
To address their professional document automation needs, Sole Practitioners and Smaller Practices now have the opportunity to enhance out-of-the-box Microsoft Word to make the program more friendly to use in legal practice. Using Legal Extensions Small Office Edition, users can quickly create or edit standard office documents without significant IT expense or Word expertise and can make use of numerous Word Macros created especially for legal practitioners. About Legal Extensions Document AutomationFor almost 15 years, legal practitioners have been using Infoware's Legal Extensions software to create and edit Word documents. The Legal Extensions solution is comprised of two central elements that combine to make it a powerful resource for assistants and attorneys alike. The first element is a series of standardized templates custom created for the firm to provide a common foundation for all letters, memos, faxes, labels and envelopes. These templates integrate with the Legal Extensions New Document button on the toolbar (shown below), so it's easy to start working on the exact document required. The second element is a collection of toolbars and macros that have been specifically developed to make Microsoft Word more accessible and relevant to law firms. Each button on the new toolbars added by Legal Extensions gives a user direct access to a particular feature such as Outline Numbering or pre-formatted signing lines. 
About Small Office EditionTo meet the document automation needs of the Smaller Legal practice, Infoware's Legal Extensions Small Office Edition includes many of the core productivity-enhancing elements of Legal Extensions, but reduces the custom development required by the full installation. Legal Extensions Small Office Edition (LX SOE) provides users with five standard office documents types as well as many of the macros and tools available in the full version of Legal Extensions. LX SOE reinforces the use of Microsoft Word best practices, including the extensive use of styles and intelligent document templates. For a small legal practice, this means that the firm will be able to simply create new documents to a consistent standard while also reducing the time spent on editing and revision. A Legal Extensions Small Office Edition installation package includes a customized letter template for the Firm that uses the firm’s logo and standard formatting, as well as providing standard fax, memo and envelope templates.
