June 21, 2004 - Infoware is pleased to announce the release of the first two products in its Document Assembly Suite. The Document Assembly Clause Tool and the Data Field Fill Tool greatly simplify the composition of complex documents and agreements that use standardized paragraphs and text.

Integrated with Microsoft Word, one of the major benefits of our Document Assembly Suite is that the output of the tools are true Word Documents. The documents are created automatically and use the styles and formatting consistent with your firm's standards. Infoware's Document Assembly Suite is an excellent resource for firms that repeatedly work with complex agreements or data rich text files that cite common references.

Document Assembly Clause Tool

To proceed with document generation, the Clause Tool references a central clause collection maintained on your network. Users can start a draft by picking clauses to insert into a document, or can navigate through a document inserting clauses as required, previewing the document as it is built. When a document is created from a model containing clause references, the Clause Tool automatically replaces the references with the current version of the centrally managed predefined clauses. This provides the capability to build many different complete document models which reference one central clause library. Administrators are able to organize the format of the clause collections and add advisory notes for each clause entry in the clause library.

Data Field Fill Tool

Infoware's Data Field Fill Tool is an automated text insertion add-in for Microsoft Word that allows users to enter data for multiple fields cited in a document in a single window. As government and corporate forms are increasingly available electronically, users of the Data Field Fill tool can realize great benefits by combining existing firm data, networked resources and their existing productivity tools to reduce repetitive data entry and improve data quality.

How it Works. The Data Field Fill tool recognizes "blank" data field delimiters such as:

text surrounded by square brackets [ * ]
text surrounded by chevrons « * »
{formtext} fields in an unprotected document
text formatted with the standard Infoware Word Extensions Prompt style

Summarizing all the points where the user would be "prompted" for information, the Data Field Fill tool allows users to quickly replace these marked locations with blocks of text. For example, a user could use the tool to insert party name and address information into corporate agreements. End-users also have the option to save commonly used data to a file for filling in future documents. For frequently used fields or for data fields which are related, the Data Field Fill tool also has the capability to prompt the user to select data from a pull-down list based on a table lookup.
