What it does ...

Many types of documents are built from standard clauses or paragraphs including Powers of Attorney, Real Estate agreements and Wills. With the Document Assembly System, documents can be generated using predetermined models with references to standard clauses or free form documents can be constructed on the fly. The Document Assembly System provides an easy, consistent and standardized way to quickly assemble standard documents.

Ensures Consistency
When you use Document Assembly, you simply pick and choose from a series of standardized clauses. Once you have selected which clauses to include, Document Assembly automatically produces a document to your exact specifications. Each document you produce will be consistent and accurate in formatting and language.

Simplifies Clause Administration
You can tailor the standardized clauses for each type of document you produce with Document Assembly. By doing so, you can ensure the particular wording your firm prefers is reflected in all the documents that get produced. Entirely new document types can be created as well.

Saves Time
Document Assembly will save time as well. Because macros in the word processor are doing all the writing, you simply specify the clauses you want and then instantly get the document you asked for.

Produces regular editable documents when it's done
When it's done, Document Assembly leaves you with an editable document in your word processor, so you can make whatever final tweaks and customizations are necessary. The document can be saved like any other file, so it's easy to integrate documents produced with Document Assembly with all the other documents produced in your firm.

How it works ...

Integration with Microsoft Word
Document Assembly integrates with Microsoft Word. When you open a blank document type that is supported by Document Assembly, you immediately get a dialog box that asks what standard clauses you want to use.

You can pick some or all of the standard clauses. You can also insert the same clause multiple times. You can choose all the clauses first and then have Document Assembly write them into the document, or you can go clause by clause and preview the document as you build it on the fly.

Build the document
Each document type can contain placeholders where potential clauses go. Document Assembly simply takes the current clauses text, and merges them into the document using a series of macros. You can choose optional text clauses to place anywhere in the document. The document types can also contain standard text that is required in each document, regardless of the clauses you choose.

Save your file
The result is a word processing file, created automatically, which is consistent with all the other documents of that type you have produced. You can make any final edits you need to, and then print and save the file at your discretion.

Pricing and Compatibility
Document Assembly is available for Word 2000 to 2007. The tools can be purchased on a per user or per site license basis.
